Ask Chronicus first. The articles sit below it, and a problem, a refund question or a complaint reaches a person through the form at the bottom.
Chronicus is an AI assistant. It answers from the Library's own help content and what you can already see on your account; every answer says it is AI. It never gives medical, legal or tax advice, and it never recommends one carer over another.
Can I get a refund on a course?
A course is refundable if you ask within 14 days of buying, you have not opened paid course content, and no certificate has been issued for it. You can do it yourself from Your account without asking anyone, and if a rule stops it, it tells you which one.
Does a certificate help me on Care World?
No. A certificate means you completed the course. Nothing about a course changes where you appear on Care World or who sees you — it is the Library's promise.
Every course has a free first module you can open without paying. A paid course is bought once and is yours to keep; a certificate of completion is included. The Library Pass is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks every paid course while it is active. The prices are shown on the pricing page and on each course, read live from our catalogue.
They are the Library's own progression steps — the order we suggest working through courses in. They are not regulated levels and not qualifications. A Foundation course is where to start; Core builds on it; Advanced goes further into the same subject.
A certificate of completion confirms that you finished the course. It is not a regulated qualification, not an accreditation and not clinical training, and it is not the Care Certificate an employer provides. It shows the course name and the date you completed it.
Yes, from Your account, without asking anyone. A reissued certificate keeps the same reference number and the same completion date, in your name as it is now. The verification link a family already holds keeps working, because it is the same certificate.
Every certificate carries a verification link. Anyone can open it without signing in, and it shows only the course and the completion date — never your other details. If a certificate has been revoked or superseded, the link says so.
A person at Chronix Health reads these on the needs-a-person queue, in the order they arrive. A complaint about how we handle your data has its own route and its own statutory clock — the data complaints page is that route.
Your own Pass, purchases, refunds and certificates are on Your account. The refund rules in full are on the refund policy page. Browse courses
No. A certificate means you completed the course. Care World never charges a carer to find work or to be found. The only thing a carer can buy from us is Library learning — a single course or the Library Pass — and nothing about a course changes where you appear or who sees you. A completed course can be shown on your profile as a fact, and that is all it does.
A course is refundable if you ask within 14 days of buying, you have not opened paid course content, and no certificate has been issued for it. It is not refundable once you have opened paid course content, or once a certificate has been issued. You can request it yourself from Your account: if the rules are met the refund is issued straight away, and if they are not, the row tells you which rule applies. After we approve a refund, it usually takes 5 to 10 working days to reach your account.
From Your account, with one press. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your Pass keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you can resume it any time before then. There is no cancellation fee.
Yes. A renewal notice goes to your email address before each renewal, whatever your notification settings, because it is a legal notice about a payment. It names the date and the amount, and links to the account page where you can cancel.
From Your account. Export gives you a file of everything the Library holds about you: your enrolments, progress, assessment results, certificates and purchases. Deleting your account deletes your Chronix ID across Kithra, Care World and the Library, with a window to change your mind; the account page shows the date the deletion would take effect.
Reads are short, free articles written from official UK guidance. They explain things; they never diagnose, never tell you what medicine to take, and never replace a GP, a pharmacist or NHS 111. If something is urgent, call 999.
