Learning Disability and Autism Awareness

What you get

A certificate of completion

Every autistic person, and every person with a learning disability, is an individual — with their own strengths, likes, and ways of seeing the world. This course builds your awareness of what learning disability and autism are, how to communicate well, and how to make the small adjustments that help someone feel safe, understood, and respected. It's warm, practical, and rooted in a simple truth: get to know the person, and listen. Important: this is an awareness course. It is not the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training, and it does not replace any training your employer is legally required to provide.

  • Seven short modules, written in plain English from official NHS and GOV.UK guidance.
  • A 10-question assessment with a 70% pass mark — retake it as many times as you need.
  • A certificate of completion when you finish — confirming you completed the learning. It is not a regulated qualification or accreditation.
  • Module 1 is free to preview before you decide.
